The First ever ‘Falam Youth Icon 2010′ was held at Tahan FBA Hall and Youth Centre and Town Hall in Falam city from November 23 – December 1, 2010. A Gospel song singing competition was held in Falam city, Chin State and Kalaymyo (Tahan) area in Saigang Division, Myanmar. The following were declared the winners and top 5 of the competition.
1. Miss Lal Hruai Eng (Emmanuel PCM, Tahan)
2. Mr. Van Lian Piang (Taungphila, AG Taungphila)
3. Mr. Lal Pan Dik (UPC, Tahan)
4. Mr. Ngun Hoe Lian (FBC, Falam)
5. Miss Naomi Lal Muan Kim (El- Bethel, BC Tahan).
Unlike any singing competition elsewhere, the contestants represented their respective Churches as indicated above.
The judges are S. Hlawn Hmung (Bachelor of Music, USA), Tuah Mung (Dip in Music, Singapore),
and Dr Tuan Za Kip.
The 1st Prize also carries Ks.200,000/- in cash, while the second prize carries a cash price of Ks.160,000/-, the 3rd place Ks.120,000/-, the fourth place Ks.80,000/- and the fifth place Ks.50,000/- all the top 5 also received a beautiful citations.
